Day 56: Who the F*** is Three Ninjas?

An idea for a series I'd like to make. I won't say anymore now; I'm afraid to jinx it.

""Don't work too hard on this", Three Ninjas said to me. But how can I not? 6 years ago, I got into a terrible car crash. Three Ninjas' music pulled me from the burning wreckage and performed CPR, saving my life. Before that, Three Ninjas walked the earth, fighting evil, and putting right what once went wrong. Hoping that each leap, would be the leap home. Before that, Three Ninjas invented music in ancient Greece when he devoured Apollo. Recognized by all cultures, worldwide, Three Ninjas still devours Apollo to this day - creating all music, but especially his."

-Admiral Akbar"

Finally, I just got this little guy in the mail from Love & a Sandwich. You can get your own here.

Doesn't the hand stitched buttcrack just sell you on buying one?

Day 54: Dreams, an approximation.

I couldn't remember what I dreamt about, (is dreamt not a word? Spell check says no... but a Google search says yes. I'm just channeling the Brits) but I wish it was this. I listened to Three Ninjas while drawing it. It's good music for this sort of thing. Or any sort of thing.
(Three Ninjas is a friend of mine, so I like to shamelessly promote his stuff. But it's also incredibly good stuff.)

Day 53: Drawin' on pots

I cooked red beans and rice the other day, and decided to draw my pot o' beans on a pot. GET IT? A POT ON A POT? HA!
Incidentally, pork jowl bacon, while slightly off putting in name and appearance, makes effing DELICIOUS red beans and rice. Just FYI.

Depression has been getting to me more and more these days. I keep thinking about the future, old age, and death. I always liked to think I'd be one of those people that will enjoy old age and will grow old gracefully. Apparently this is not so. I am terrified of getting old, and life passing me by.

My cats are totally slacking off on the job. A mouse crawled out of the freakin' stove today. I want to buy mouse traps, but I've watched so many Disney movies, I don't want to think about killing cute little mice. Even if they do spread disease and get into my food storage. How can you kill something that might go by the name of Gus Gus?

Lastly, my cup, finally fired. I consider it an utter failure - the green did something weird in the firing, and the copper glaze is all splotchy. Bleh. Oh well, at least I got to draw an African Grey.
Check that shit out, an entirely ceramic journal post. Aren't you impressed?

Day 47: A Metric Butt-Ton of things

So much to do today! I made it a priority to get my daily drawing done and get everything posted, stat. Sorry for the long wait, if indeed you have been waiting. More than likely, you're like "Oh, yeah, that chick posted stuff today. That's cool." Or you've already deleted me from your Google Reader list, in which case, you aren't reading this and it doesn't really matter.

Here we go: P.S., Spoilers for The Time Traveler's Wife ahead. Just a warning.

Day 46 but not.

I have been decent about drawing/making things on a regular basis (though I miss a day here and there.) I have been absolutely terrible about actually uploading everything. I don't have time to upload everything today because scanning takes a sec, and I have to go to work. So here's just a few things.
Nich bought these flowers for us as an early Valentine's present. They're called Senetti, and they look like a deep velvety blue or violet, depending on the light. We had Waffle House that day too. It was an excellent day. Hopefully I'll get to finish painting the tile soon. I'd like to make a whole bunch of them, I like the shape and indentation around the outside.

These are Dad's little altar things, finally out of the kiln. I started to take them to a sale the other day, but I'm not ready to part with them.

Lots more stuff tomorrow, I promise!

Day 37: Part Deux

Nich teased me about my ingenious rhyming abilities. Bastard.

Day 37: Odds and Ends

Bleh. I've been sick for the past couple days, so I'm sitting in my pj's surrounded by mountains of crumpled kleenex and used teacups. My desk looks like it's covered with snow, just like outside the window. Well, snow and teacups. It's not a very good simile, I guess.

I have not drawn anything today. I'm trying to talk myself into it. In the meantime, here is the drawing from the other day that I never posted (which led to me officially getting sick, btw - cold weather + damp hair = ickyness), and some ceramic things I have yet to post that will be getting fired soon.

Day 33: Diabolical kitten army

Don't be fooled by the fact that they're kittens, or by the fact that they're poorly drawn. They mean business. Their only weakness is the sound of a can opener, or some dangly string. But you can only distract them for so long. Be warned. There is no stopping the kitten apocalypse.

Day 32: Inspiration

I had a drawing for yesterday, but I left my small sketchbook at Jason's house. You aren't missing much; I was pretty intoxicated when I drew it.

Loveandasandwich is an awesome artist and crafter that makes adorable monster plushies. I'm a big fan of her stuff.
This is the Not Teeth resin figure she painted.

Go check out her work - she makes THE best monster plushies I've ever seen.
